At alkimia we always try to make our products as clean as possible for the planet, with vegan formulations and never tested on animals (only on the occasional human in the management part, but those don't matter a bit).
The enormous waste of plastic in our industry is a reality, and looking for ways to renew our cartridges to something more eco-friendly, 3 years ago the idea was born.
Today we present the world's first cartridges made from 100% recycled plastic collected from forests and oceans.
As you know, in most of the world tattoo cartridges are considered bio-pollutants once they are used and must be destroyed in a specific way.
That's why those "biodegradable" cartridges you may have seen, apart from not meeting the qualitative expectations, do not fulfill what they promise, since they will never "biodegrade".
Whether you care more or less about the planet, these cartridges are a qualitative leap in all aspects... If what you do care about is using high quality material and that it performs at your level....
Keep reading the FAQs below ! :)
In the vast majority of tattoo needles on the market the tip is adjusted to the size (e.g. 3RL) but not to the whole configuration.
This means that the cartridge mold is the same for all 3RL thicknesses (0.16 - 0.25 - 0.30...) and that's why you may have noticed that the needle "dances" and doesn't give you the confidence you need.
This is of course an incredible cost saving for the manufacturers, but it is a detail that sacrifices quality.
In alkimia, each tip is adjusted to the totality of the configuration, taking into account size and thickness, giving an accuracy of the output of the needle far above any tattoo needle on the market.
You are talking to alkimia.... ?
We have been manufacturing tattoo needles since 1984 in an exclusive way... And the secret is in the dough...
Our 316L surgical steel tattoo needles are adapted acupuncture needles.
And as for the cutting edge... We've gone off the deep end, but we've used CNC technology with artificial intelligence that brings the sharpest point of each needle to a molecular level.
That is to say, physically it can't get any sharper.
You will notice an incomparable durability.
Now that the tips have evolved, we decided to go one step further.
If you have ever looked at your tattoo cartridges, you will have seen that most of them have an internal stabilizer with a round shape, so that the needle passes through the same place every time.
Well, our stabilizer is square.
Typical "silly" change that you wonder how nobody had thought of until now, but that makes the difference.
Our square stabilizer does not allow the needle to rotate in the RL or RS and gives a superior stability as it prevents internal rocking in a more optimal way than in a round one.
The cartridge design is not only tremendously sexy, it has a reason.
It's the result of more than 80 prototypes and endless testing.
Our engineering team has designed the perfect shape.
Physically, you can't create a tattoo cartridge that provides better performance for the artist.
It has an exclusive "multihole" system with 4 holes (2 in front and 2 at the back) aligned perfectly, which means unbeatable ink suction and ink optimization.
It will make you work more comfortable and cleaner.
Those who try them say that "they seem to paint themselves".
As you can see above in the product purchase area, there are some "SOFT MEMBRANE" configurations.
The "membrane" is that kind of silicone inside the cartridge that stretches and returns to its place next to the needle when the plunger is pressed, protecting the tattoo machine avoiding ink leakage, and serving as a firing system for the needle.
In these "SOFT MEMBRANE", the membrane is twice as soft as the normal ones (softer, not weaker, so don't worry, it won't burst as with some needles on the market...).
Why?
Maybe you have had tattooing sessions with very damaged skin... you have had to tattoo sensitive areas... you have had to tattoo sensitive areas... you have had to tattoo sensitive areas... areas with very shallow bone or you do very delicate work where taking care of the skin makes the difference in the result...
Well, these cartridges are ideal for all that, since they have a softer membrane, the rebound with the skin will be softer.
Highly recommended if you work with a low stroke machine (2.8-3.5) or you are in the situations mentioned above.
If so, we think it's worth trying them out and see if they suit you better.
